Last weekend we went on a family outing to the Portland Rose Festival Milk Carton Races!  I remember going as a kid to this event and was excited to see the festival was going to start it up again.  Kids have to race and row across West Moreland pond in homemade boats made from empty milk cartons.  Even though Sunday was a bit stormy, everyone was in good spirits.   There were even dairy princesses handing out little cartons of milk like the ones you got in elementary school.  Lots of good old fashioned fun.  Here’s some photos from the event.  I think we’ll have to put Adelaide in it in a couple of years.  : )

Happy day,

Rachel
