Catching snow

We had a surprise snow fall last week!  I always love it when it snows in Portland – as it is very infrequent, causes everything to shut down, and usually melts in a day.  Adelaide and I have both been sick all week with colds, but I still bundled us up for a short walk.  It’s so fun to show her new things, especially things I love!  I was trying to teach her to catch snow on her tongue and caught this picture.  Hee, hee.

I am happy to see 2010 and know it is going to be a great year!  I am starting the year off by working on new oil paintings from my Poppy and Lantern series – some smaller, some larger.  I also have more map paintings in the works and some other new things.  This January, I’m working on some design projects with the Sun Valley Art and Wine Auction and a design for a reusable  bag company in LA.  I’ll keep you posted as I finish things.

I hope your 2010 is looking good too, full of lots of things creative!

Cheers,

Rachel
