Thirty artists – one each day in April – will create an original work while you watch. This will take place from 12 to 5 in the front of Muse, Portland’s local art supply store. Tomorrow, Saturday April 3rd, will be my day! I’ll be working on a 16 x 20 map painting. I’d love some visitors if you are in the area and have some time to chat. Works will be exhibited as they are completed, ending with a reception and auction of the artwork to raise funds to purchase art supplies for Schoolhouse Supplies, the free store for teachers. Photos will be taken each day and put on their blog if you want to see the process through the month.
All events are open to the public. See Portland artists at work, bid on your favorite works of art and support Portland schools. To see more on the event and view which artists are coming up, see the Artists a Day site.
